Faculty Awards 2025 Presented

On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, outstanding scientific achievements were recognized at the Faculty Awards Ceremony of the Medical Faculty of the University of Cologne. Researchers were honored whose work has made a significant contribution to medical progress.

The award for the best publication 2024 was presented to our principal investigator Univ.-Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Julie George from the Department of Translational Genomics and Molecular Head and Neck Oncology Group (ENT Clinic). Her study “Evolutionary trajectories of small cell lung cancer under therapy” provides important insights into the development of tumor diseases under therapeutic conditions.
